Important Note

As per the guidelines for making PAN as the single business user ID, PAN verification is now mandatory for applying for any approvals on the NSWS platform. You can verify your PAN using any of the following methods:

  • Digital Signature Certificate (DSC): All entity types can verify using DSC based verification mechanism.
  • Digilocker: Verify using PAN details available in Digilocker Account. Currently available only for "Sole Proprietors".

About this Process:

Production Investment Business Registration (Indian Company) is an online registration facility for generation of Sponsorship Letters on the National Single Window System (NSWS) for Indian companies intending to invite foreign professionals / experts for activities including installation and commissioning, quality checks and essential maintenance, production, IT & ERP ramp-up, training, supply chain development for vendor empanelling, plant design and bring-up, senior management and executive roles in India.

This process enables the submission of company, operational, and foreign professional details through a single consolidated digital form and allows the automatic generation of a digitally signed sponsorship letter for use in the foreign national’s visa application process. This registration does not, by itself, grant a visa, nor does the generated Sponsorship Letter imply the grant of a visa. The foreign national seeking the Visa is required to apply through the Indian online Visa portal using the Sponsorship Letter. The Visa shall be examined and granted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) / Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in accordance with the Government rules and procedures.
